An update is now available for Dukester X client. Version 1.6.
This release mainly addresses the master server issues, and misc bug and UI fixes. Con file checking has been removed. Options screen has also been improved.
A Firewall testing tool has also been added. You can find it in the main options or via the /checkfirewall console command.
Please report any bugs.
Enjoy.

I don't know. I wouldn't play DNO because I like the added features that xDuke and Eduke32 have.
It is possible for me to make the game work in straight dos where the arachne browser loads up the page, and then when a download is selected, the game is launched, but the disadvantage to this is that dos is not a multitasking system like windows is, so you can't browse other sites while you are waiting for the game to start.
Also, most users do not use DOS mode. If they use DOS, it would be a dosbox in windows.

yep. LOL. I like how you precede awesome with pathetically. LOL. I'm trying to get EVERYONE to be able to play duke nukem with everyone, no matter what system they use. Heck, it would be interesting to see someone in straight dos play duke nukem against someone with windows 3.1 against someone with linux against someone with windows XP.

Impressive, the next step would be - to get Bill Gates to work for you
Send him to the gallows for injecting this poison into our technological industry!
And, vb3... wow . LOL! that's slightly pathetically awesome.

Guess what. I upgraded my installer in the awkwardish fashion. LOL. now I made it with VB3! this means that only one extra DLL file is required instead of a suite of useless DLL files. Plus the download size will be smaller too.
Oh, and did I mention that I managed to get Windows 3.1 working in a DOS EMULATOR?
This means that DNO could very well have indirect compatibility with linux.

well, lifeless, I must say we are the highly creative people, aren't we.... you calling your piece of software the "configurator" and I call my piece the "installer", but they are for the same game for different platforms. lol
